- Assist the Director of Equity & Cultural Engagement and the Equity Team with the development and implementation of Lines for Life’s equity strategic plan.
- Identify and build relationships within new and underserved communities to help raise awareness around mental wellness, drug and alcohol abuse, and suicide, as well as the services offered by Lines for Life. This includes regular communications via email, phone, and meetings, and coordinating next steps.
- Work in collaboration with the Development Team on grant writing and reporting for the cultural engagement department.
- Assist with setting up Lines for Life outreach table at community events and engage community members.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of Lines for Life’s outreach and trainings within the targeted underserved and new communities.
- Support the Cultural Engagement Director in scheduling and developing agendas for team meetings. Actively participate and take meeting minutes and report out on action items.
- Assist with developing and writing messaging and branding communications for community engagement.
- Actively participate and occasionally present at staff meetings and provide cultural engagement and humility trainings to staff.
- Research and analyze data related to areas of substance abuse, suicide and mental health in new and underserved communities, as well as in communities Lines for Life currently serves through its crisis lines and prevention services.
- Demonstrate the culture of Lines for Life by modeling behavior that supports the goals and philosophies of Lines for Life.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Coursework in related fields (Community Development, Social Justice, Communications, Social Work, Counseling, Teaching, Education) or relevant experience in lieu of a degree
- Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and administrative skills
- Project coordination or program management experience preferred.
- Proficient with databases and MS Office computer environment
- Strong aptitude for networking with diverse groups of people
- Crisis Intervention Training preferred
