- Resolving daily issues that may arise and providing valuable technical expertise to area operators
- Collaborating with team members and cross-functional teams, you will also drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance overall operational efficiency
- Varied chemical process and equipment design and development experience for mixing or other processing methods equipment design from bench to production scale
- Generate project requirements to resolve product/process problems and to support development of new products/processes, initiate technical investigations, and prepare protocols
- Will require research and application of advanced chemical engineering theories, methods and research techniques in solution of complex and advanced chemical engineering problems
- Write reaction protocols, research reports, prepare grant proposals, and to periodically present work in a team setting and to customers, clients, investors, government organizations, and collaborators
- Setting and achieving goals in various areas, including environmental, health, and safety (EHS) performance, product quality, equipment performance, and reliability, daily production targets, productivity, and stable operations
- Bachelor's degree (BS) in Chemical Engineering (MS or PhD highly desirable)
- 5+ years experience in a product and/or a process development environment
- Familiar with various designs of mixing processes including solid-solid, liquid-solid, liquid-liquid systems
- Experience over a broad range of industrial applications in industry involving the of energetics, pharmaceuticals, batteries/energy storage, or other contemporary industrial processes is desirable
- Strong strategic thinking ability, problem-solving, and analytical skills, including proficiency in organizing and analyzing process data, utilizing statistical analysis, and effectively troubleshooting complex chemical processes
- Good understanding of business interrelationships
- High awareness of responsibility and costs
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
