- Assist in plan and specification analysis in order to determine clear and consistent interpretations of construction documents.
- Assist project management with planning work schedule and projecting manpower needs.
- Assist in the coordination of project personnel activities to ensure project progresses on schedule and within prescribed budget.
- Advise project management of potential problems, work interferences, schedule difficulties, and the like. Assist in circumventing/resolving such problems as required.
- Compose and/or edit letters, memos, reports, and procedures as required.
- Oversee and/or process day-to-day administrative items (i.e., expense reports, supply requisitions, RFI’s, submittals, shop drawings, procurement, quantity take-offs, etc.) per supervisor’s authorization.
- Prepare special reports, studies, and statistical analysis per supervisor’s request. May require research, development and/or interpretation of data with little supervision or instruction.
- Assist with monitoring subcontractors, project scheduling and cost control.
- Assist with the research and preparation of field change requests to resolve design issues.
- Participate in the continuous updating and accurate generation of as-built documents.
- Attend project coordination and owner/contractor/architect/engineer meetings as required.
- Assume a proactive approach to career development. Utilize available resources within Brandt as well as request alternative instruction to help achieve project manager status.
- Perform additional assignments as requested/needed.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Outstanding organizational skills
- Excellent MS Office skills and ability/desire to learn new software systems
- OSHA-30 certification (if not currently certified, must be obtained within six (6) months from date of hire)
- Must be courteous, professional, diplomatic, and highly motivated
- Employment is contingent upon satisfying all jobsite-specific access requirements, with no outstanding restrictions from any jobsite or from working with any of Brandt’s partnering General Contractors, Owners, Customers, etc.
- 4-yr mechanical engineering or construction science degree (or commensurate levels of technical training and related experience)
- 2+ years of construction management experience
