Job Description:OverviewRTI International seeks a prospect for the Global Technology Solutions IT Service Management Internship in Global Technology Solutions within the General & Administrative (G&A) unit.This internship is a contract position. The employment contract is administered by Greene Resources Powered by Array, RTI’s supplemental staffing partner.Global Technology Solutions Information Technology Service Management (ITSM) team is responsible for assisting IT teams manage the end-to-end delivery of IT services to customers. This includes all the processes and activities to design, create, deliver, and support IT services. Areas of responsibility:
  • Configuration Management
  • Database Discovery and quality management of Configuration Items (CI)
  • Service Mapping Integration of services into Change and Incident modules
  • Change Management
  • Major Incident Management
  • Knowledge Management
  • Problem Management
The ITSM Intern will assist the GTS ITSM team with implementing best practices to both the IT Service Management and the Configuration Management practices of GTS.Learning Objectives:
  • Learn how IT Service Management framework is applied to processes at an organization.
  • Learn how the CMDB is utilized in an organization.
Responsibilities
  • Building a Service Catalog Collaborating with Service Owners and SMEs
  • Organization and editing of Knowledge articles
  • Administer and create content for the ITSM SharePoint site
  • Reviewing ITSM Practices and identifying maturity opportunities
  • ServiceNow Development

QualificationsRequired Qualifications
  • Currently enrolled in an associate's, bachelor's or master's degree program in computer science, information systems, business administration, or a related field.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Basic knowledge of IT service management concepts and frameworks, such as ITIL, COBIT, or ISO 20000.
  • Basic knowledge of configuration management concepts and tools, such as CMDB, ITAM, or SCCM.
  • Basic knowledge of data analysis and visualization tools, such as Excel, Power BI, or Tableau.
