Are you eager to support strategic vendor relationships to maintain accuracy and success?If you can picture yourself in this role alongside an amazing team of hard-working, adaptable colleagues, you may be Tipmont's next Procurement Technician!As Tipmont's Procurement Technician, you will be responsible for purchasing materials, products and services for a cooperative that provides reliable electricity and fiber-optic internet to thousands of people across north central Indiana. You'll monitor inventory, order supplies, process paperwork, maintain communication with vendors and track deliveries . With excellent attention to detail and organization, you'll play an integral role in shaping the timely and effective delivery of Tipmont services to homes, schools, farms and businesses.Duties that intrigue you include:
Monitoring warehouse inventory levels & identifying when supplies need to be reordered
Processing purchase orders, ensuring accurate information & timely execution
Communicating with suppliers to confirm orders, track shipments & resolve any issues
Assisting with counts on monthly, quarterly & annual cycle s
Tracking order status to ensure timely delivery & take inventory of supplies upon arrival
Preparing & maintaining records of purchase orders, invoices & relevant documentation
Supporting productive vendor relationships & the resolution of applicable vendor concerns
Entering data into procurement systems to track orders & inventory
Aiding in the research of potential suppliers & gathering of quotes for products & services
Participating in the negotiation of contracts & terms with suppliers
Unloading & storing material received in the absence of the warehouse attendant
Completing other duties as assigned

Associate's degree in business (or similar degree program)
Three to five years of warehouse and procurement experience
Experience in creating and processing purchasing orders
Strong communication skills and attention to detail
Must possess a valid driver's license
Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds unassisted and 100 pounds or greater with assistance
Ability to operate a forklift
Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and regulations
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
