
Deputy Academy Program Manager

- Experience:
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in managing programs or organizations of similar size, scope, and complexity.
- Prior management experience in an Air Traffic Control facility, or in a comparable operational environment, is required.
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Management or a related field from an accredited college or university.
- In lieu of a bachelor’s degree, 15 years of relevant management experience is required.

- Proven leadership skills with experience managing on-site teams in a dynamic, mission-driven environment.
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining close coordination with senior leadership.
- Experience supporting government contracts or working in federally regulated environments.
- Familiarity with training program management or academic support operations.
- Understanding of operational compliance, quality assurance, and performance monitoring.
- Assist the Program Manager in leading and managing all contract support personnel at the FAA Academy.
- Oversee daily operations and ensure consistent, high-quality service delivery in alignment with program standards and contractual requirements.
- Serve as the primary on-site point of contact for contract performance and staff management.
- Monitor team performance, resolve operational issues, and maintain effective communication with stakeholders.
- Support workforce planning, training coordination, and staff development initiatives.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols, performance metrics, and compliance requirements.
- Step in as acting Program Manager when needed, ensuring continuity of leadership and operations.
