The Vice President of Accounting will be responsible for providing strategic financial leadership and overseeing all aspects of the organization's accounting and financial functions. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in accounting, financial management, and leadership, with the ability to drive financial excellence and support the organization's overall strategic objectives.Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide strategic financial leadership and guidance to the executive team and other departments.
  • Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and controls to ensure accurate and transparent financial reporting.
  • Prepare and present timely and accurate financial reports to the executive team, board of directors, and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting principles, standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting processes, collaborating with department heads to establish financial goals and objectives.
  • Monitor and analyze financial performance against budget, providing insights and recommendations.
  • Identify and assess financial risks, implementing strategies to mitigate them.
  • ASC 606 - Revenue recognition specific to SaaS
  • Stay abreast of changes in accounting regulations and standards, ensuring the organization's compliance.
  • Supervise and manage the accounting team
  • Conduct financial analysis to support strategic decision-making and identify areas for improvement.
  • Provide financial insights to support business planning and growth initiatives.
  • Contribute to the development and execution of the organization's overall strategic plan, aligning financial strategies with business objectives.
  • Effectively communicate financial information to non-financial stakeholders, providing insights and recommendations.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • CPA required
  • SaaS experience experience with M&A is required
