The Vice President of Accounting will be responsible for providing strategic financial leadership and overseeing all aspects of the organization's accounting and financial functions. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in accounting, financial management, and leadership, with the ability to drive financial excellence and support the organization's overall strategic objectives.Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic financial leadership and guidance to the executive team and other departments.
- Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and controls to ensure accurate and transparent financial reporting.
- Prepare and present timely and accurate financial reports to the executive team, board of directors, and external stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles, standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting processes, collaborating with department heads to establish financial goals and objectives.
- Monitor and analyze financial performance against budget, providing insights and recommendations.
- Identify and assess financial risks, implementing strategies to mitigate them.
- ASC 606 - Revenue recognition specific to SaaS
- Stay abreast of changes in accounting regulations and standards, ensuring the organization's compliance.
- Supervise and manage the accounting team
- Conduct financial analysis to support strategic decision-making and identify areas for improvement.
- Provide financial insights to support business planning and growth initiatives.
- Contribute to the development and execution of the organization's overall strategic plan, aligning financial strategies with business objectives.
- Effectively communicate financial information to non-financial stakeholders, providing insights and recommendations.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- CPA required
- SaaS experience experience with M&A is required
