Position SummaryWe are seeking a hands-on Quality Engineer to join our team in ensuring the highest standards of product quality for our metal-based medical furniture. This role focuses on the development and oversight of quality systems related to metal fabrication, assembly, and final inspection, ensuring compliance with internal standards.Duties, Tasks and Responsibilities· Develop, implement, and maintain quality control systems for metal components and assembled medical furniture products.· Collaborate with Value Stream Team to define and maintain critical-to-quality features and ensure design for manufacturability.· Create and update control plans, inspection procedures, and work instructions to support robust manufacturing and assembly processes.· Conduct incoming, in-process, and final inspections, including first article inspection, using standard measurement tools and methods.· Support problem solving activities using tools such as 8D, 5-Whys, Fishbone Diagrams, etc.· Oversee and manage non-conforming product investigations and documentation.· Lead internal PPAP and supplier PPAP along with engineering changes.· Provide support and training to operators and inspectors on inspection techniques and quality expectations.· Collaborate with suppliers to resolve quality issues and improve incoming material quality.· Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies.Critical Skills & Knowledge· Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.· Comfortable with calculated risk-taking· Ability to lead and manage multiple projects simultaneously· Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills· Experience in managing a fast-paced environment· Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.· Proven ability to work independently with minimal involvement from othersMinimum Qualifications· Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.· Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality or engineering, preferably within manufacturing.· Experience in developing and implementing quality systems.· Strong understanding of quality management principles and methodologies.· Proficiency with quality management tools and software.What We Offer· Competitive salary and benefits package.· Opportunity to make a significant impact by shaping the company’s quality practices.· Professional growth and development opportunities.· Collaborative and innovative work environment.Job Type: Full-timeBenefits:
