
INTERIM LEAD MANAGER OF AUTISM, SOCIAL/EMOTIONAL AND BEHAVIORAL SERVICES

Under the direction of the Administrator of Special Education and Student Services, the Lead Manager of Autism, Social/Emotional and Behavior Services oversees the District Autism services and supervises the District behaviorists.Administrative Responsibilities:
1.Oversees behavioral clinicians (BCBAs, Behaviorists and RBTs) including assignment of duties, instruction of methods used, and employee supervision.
2.Provides quality control and approval of FBAs and Behavior Plans submitted by behavior support staff.
3.Participates in the development of new & continued programs, services, and training.
4.Develops and ensures implementation of procedures and policies for assigned programs in accordance with agency licensing and policies.
5.Meets regularly with the Administrator of Special Education and Student Services for supervision and feedback.
6.Meets regularly with Special Education Supervisors to allow for collaboration and notifies them immediately of issues impacting student's progress.
7.Participates as a member of various internal committees and administrative teams.Clinical Responsibilities:
1.Ensures appropriate behavioral data systems are implemented such that quantifiable behavioral data is collected at regular intervals to allow for the continual evaluation of behavior plans and the achievement of individual goals and objectives.
2.Provides ongoing professional development to the District on the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis, Functional Behavior Assessments (FBA) and function based Intervention plans.
3.Is responsible for ongoing individual program oversight, treatment integrity observations and conducting weekly supervision meetings with behaviorists.
4.Responds to referrals for service in a timely and appropriate manner.
5.Effectively manages duties and prepares all documentation in a timely fashion; participates in related IEP meetings as needed.
6.Develops and teaches RBT curriculum for Interventionist staff.
7.Assists the Administrator of Special Education and Student Services in the referral of students to 45 day diagnostic placements: ensures the assessment questions are complete, clear and thorough AND ensures all steps have been taken prior to referral.
8.Assists the Administrator of Special Education and Student Services for creating a referral process for behavioral services.REPORTS TO:
The salary and terms of employment will be commensurate with experience and via a personal services contract.Performance on this position will be evaluated in accordance with the provisions of the Westfield School Committee policy on evaluation.This position subject to funding.Requirements:ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Work is generally conducted within school building. Ability to travel throughout the school building is necessary. Position involves sitting and the ability to travel from one place to another within the classroom. Work is light in nature with regular lifting of up to 10 pounds and occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds with some pulling and pushing or reaching above, generally of desk and file drawers. Frequent use of hands to operate keyboards and telephones and other office equipment and to finger and handle.QUALIFICATIONS:
- Current and valid BCBA certification.
- Minimum on Master's Degree in Applied Behavior Analysis from an accredited university or college
- Minimum of five years' experience in providing ABA services to children and adolescents.
- Strong foundation in the following areas:
2.Developing function based interventions
3.Competency based training
4.Discrete Trial Instruction, including knowledge in assessment methods such as ABLLS or VB-MAPP.
5.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
6.Highly organized with the ability to multi-task and must be able to work well as part of a team.
7.Experience in supervising behavioral technicians and behaviorists
