  • Assisting in the planning, organization, and execution of Leadership conferences, events, and competitions.
  • Managing logistics such as venue setup, registration, and scheduling.
Social Media and Content Creation:
  • Creating and curating social media content related to student activities and initiatives.
  • Managing social media accounts, engaging with members, and responding to comments.
  • Assisting in video production, editing, and post-production for promotional videos and conference highlights.
Data Analysis and Performance Tracking:
  • Analyzing group performance data, student engagement statistics, and event participation to provide insights to advisors and members.
  • Using Analytics tools to identify trends and areas for program improvement.
Community Management:
  • Engaging with the school community through forums, social media groups, and other platforms.
  • Moderating discussions and fostering a positive and inclusive environment.
Graphic Design and Visual Branding:
  • Creating graphics, banners, logos, and other visual assets for the programs' branding and promotional materials.
  • Working on merchandise designs and promotional materials.
Member Support and Management:
  • Assisting members with conference registration, travel arrangements, and other logistics during conferences and events.
  • Providing administrative support to members and advisors as needed.
Marketing and Sponsorship:
  • Assisting in outreach to potential sponsors and partners.
  • Helping to create sponsorship packages, proposals, and presentations.
Research and Strategy:
  • Conducting research on community trends, competitive programs, and industry-related topics.
  • Assisting advisors and members in developing program strategies.
Administrative Tasks:
  • Managing schedules, booking appointments, and coordinating meetings for the chapter.
  • Assisting in budget tracking and expense reporting.
Learning and Development:
  • Taking part in learning opportunities, workshops, and training sessions to enhance your skills and knowledge within the program's organization.

Exposure & TrainingProvided through internship, we will teach you the ins and outs of DECA operations and leadership.Working and Physical Conditions/Onboarding Requirements (**vaccinations, etc,)Please speak to your SEL Teacher/Advisor/Mentor regarding working and physical conditions at your intern site. You will also be required to sign and upload W-9 and Parental Permission forms. In addition you will be required to electronically acknowledge Non-Disclosure and Internship agreements.As part of your application, you will be expected to fill out your emergency contact information, school and other personal information as required by Albuquerque Public Schools Work-Based Learning programs and the New Mexico Public Education Department.
