
Lead Sanitation Technician

- Independently manages time to ensure area and equipment is sanitized, using required chemicals and cleaning solutions to reduce risk of bacteriological threats
- Tear down machinery, sanitize and reassemble prior to production start
- Direct the work of others and is the “go-to” for questions and concerns in the absence of supervisor or superintendent at their request
- Train lower level technicians as needed
- Other duties as assigned
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required
- Basic understanding of machinery tear down and setup
- Basic understanding of chemicals preferred
- Demonstrated leadership abilities
- Basic math skills
- Ability to work unsupervised and self-motivate
- Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays and extended shift hours
- Sound work ethic, honesty and moral character
- Follow departmental and company safety policies and programs
- Must wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times in areas where required.
- Stand up to 8 hours
- Lift up to 60 lbs including moving, lifting and pushing machinery
- Exposure to wet and cold environment (45ºF, 4ºC)
- Will be exposed to noise of
- Climb ladders, stoop, reach overhead, bend and twist throughout shift as needed
- Work around raw, live animal odors
