Performs a variety of duties in the electronic, mechanical, electromechanical, and optical areas. Performs calibration and alignment checks including making adjustments, modifications, and replacements as directed. Troubleshoots, adjusts, tests, diagnoses, and maintains equipment, components, devices, or systems and related equipment. Works from schematics, operating or repair manuals, engineering drawings and written or verbal instructions. Reports data in prescribed format and maintains asset status in online systems.Essential Functions:
- Utilize test measurements and diagnostic equipment to calibrate, diagnose and repair equipment, including working standards
- Maintain detailed documentation in the calibration database for assets and test equipment regarding status, location, calibration findings and results, special requirements, etc.
- Perform operational checks on assets and test equipment returning from external factory calibration
- Review 3rd party calibration certificates for completeness and potential risks or data concerns
- Maintain ESD controls
- Perform periodic maintenance of lab standards used in calibration efforts
- US Citizen
- Proficient in the use of all test equipment including but not limited to oscilloscopes, meter’s, signal generators, power supplies and specialty tools needed for instrument gauges, etc.
- Experience in several of the following areas is required: AC/DC, Frequency Counters, Power Sensors, RF Power, Spectrum Analyzers, Network Analyzers, PXI, PXIe, SCXI, Torque, Pressure, Temperature, Lab Master, Force, Fiber Optics, National Instruments Calibration Executive, Client Vee, SureCal, Fluke Runtime, MetTeam, Counters Oscilloscopes, DAQ, Generators, Microwave, Avionics, Dimensional, Client Basic
- Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associate’s Degree with a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience.
- Knowledge of general metrology practices and standards is preferred.
- Requires organization, the ability to multi-task, time management, attention to detail, communication skills, and the ability to function in a dynamic environment.
