B&R is seeking a Sales Engineer for our Great Lakes region to take part in our Ready Set Go (RSG) sales professional development program. The selected candidate will manage accounts in and around Cincinnati, OH. The RSG program provides comprehensive training and development in automation engineering and sales skills needed for a successful career in the Automation industry. The program also provides opportunities to connect with colleagues, mentors, and industry professionals. This program is ideal for a recent engineering graduate or one who would like to rapidly grow career path by embracing technical sales.This position reports toRegional ManagerYour responsibilities
  • Grow sales of B&R's complete product range in the territory by working on new and existing sales opportunities
  • Identify, define and develop the best technical solution and strategy for customer applications
  • Hold in depth technical presentations and discussions with the customers
  • Expand customer base through the development and execution of a Target Account Business Plan
  • Develop market intelligence and document this knowledge in B&R’s CRM system (Customer Relationship Management) system
  • Work with the Marketing, Business Development and other resources to promote sales efforts
  • Attend trade shows to seek out potential customers and to represent B&R at these shows
  • Increase sales at existing customers through exceptional sales support as well as the introduction of new products and services
  • Attend yearly sales meetings and workshops
  • Additional duties as assigned
Your background
  • Engineering degree or equivalent experience and minimum 0 to 2 years of relevant experience
  • Ability to understand and explain complex technical products and solutions
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Interested in the application of leading edge technology across industries
  • Travel up to 75 percent within territory
  • Valid Passport
  • Position requires domestic and some international travel
  • Experience with Machine and Motion Control desirable
  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
