SummaryJob Description:Surgical Technologist -ORFull Time I Second ShiftOperating Room I LexingtonBaptist Health Lexington Surgical Services Department encompasses several key areas: the Pre-Op Department, 20 operating rooms with a business office staff responsible for scheduling, a Postoperative Care Unit, an Endoscopy Department with dedicated pre- and post-op areas, and a Sterile Processing Department.Description for Surgical Technologists:
  • Demonstrates knowledge of and utilizes principles of aseptic technique including but not limited to gowning, gloving sterilization, and disinfection.
  • Actively participates in unit activities.
  • Ensures positive customer relations interactions.
  • On call weekends, weeknights, and holidays by rotation.
Requirements for Surgical Technologists:
  • Technical Diploma; Associate degree.
  • Completion of a Surgical Technology program.
  • BCLS by the end of orientation.
