R.W. Mercer Electrical Contracting is looking for experienced and trained Journeyman Electricians that can work on their own under the general guidance of a Master Electrician. Knowledge of local electrical codes
Knowledge of electrical circuits
Ability to read and understand prints, schematics, and written reference material
Ability to focus on a job and complete the same in a timely manner
Ability to diagnose and resolve problems
Ability to guide and train Apprentice Electricians
Self-motivation
Takes control and oversees projects
Review projects with sales team/project managers
Ability to have flexible working hours
Respond to emergency calls as needed
Acquire proper materials to complete project
Maintain a clean, well-serviced and well-stocked vehicle
Attend a code review class every 3 years
Fill out work orders with time and material rates for billing purposes
Ensure that proper safety and incident reporting procedures are followed. Brings problems to the attention of the foreman, safety coordinator, or Human Resources.
Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints
Experience with petroleum fueling systems a plus
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalency
4-year apprentice training
State of Michigan Journeyman License
Valid Driver’s License
