In this hands-on role, you’ll be a key member of the accounting team, partnering closely with the Controller to support financial reporting, monthly close activities, and core accounting functions. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, project-based environment and brings strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem solving.Key ResponsibilitiesOwn day-to-day general ledger activities, including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliationsMaintain the fixed asset register, including depreciation calculations and reconciliationsReconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and intercompany transactionsAssist with monthly close and internal financial reportingAnalyze balance sheet and income statement accounts; resolve discrepanciesOrganize accounting documentation in line with audit and retention requirementsSupport both internal and external audit processesCollaborate with project teams on job cost accounting and provide financial insightsContribute to ad hoc projects and financial analysis as neededWhat You Bring4+ years of general accounting experience, ideally in construction, manufacturing, or other project-based sectorsSolid understanding of GAAP, fixed asset accounting, and month-end close processesProficiency in Excel; experience with ERP systems (Vista/Viewpoint or COINS a plus)Strong organization and time management skillsExcellent communication and analytical abilitiesBachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA or CPA-track preferred
