- Lead the Wafer finance function as a key member and decision maker of the management staff, serving as the finance partner for the Business Director
- Drive financial and operational improvement through fundamental understanding of the business and implementing critical metrics / KPI's
- Proactively support decision-making by business leaders driving division strategy (efficient turnaround time to inquiries from internal customers).
- Participate and represent the finance function in commercial and procurement operations (SIOP) decision making and strategy.
- Build and maintain monthly forecast and communicate effectively with plant management the development of the forecast and outlook.
- Ensure timely & accurate completion of period reporting, annual budgeting, and monthly forecasting.
- Identify and assess the financial implications (ROI, IRR & Payback) of capital investments. Support AR's as needed.
- Ensure appropriate support of Solar divisional requirements and Corning Finance functions
- Ability to take on various ad-hoc responsibilities as required
- Source, select, and develop talent to support global and entity Finance talent needs
- Bachelor's degree (4 years) in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
- MBA or CPA preferred
- 5+ years of relevant finance experience
- Plant Manufacturing experience (within or outside Corning) strongly preferred
- Proven knowledge of US GAAP (desired)
- Strong financial background
- Ability to be comfortable interacting and communicating with all aspects of the business, including business staff and senior managers
- Strong Excel & PowerPoint Skills
- Ability to be creative in providing financial solutions to business leaders.
