  • Pay Rate Range: $19.00-$22.00/Hour

  • Schedule: 1st Shift, Monday-Thursday 6AM-4:30PM

Requirements and Qualifications:
1. High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or 6 months related work experience.
2. 1 year wave solder experience, running and maintaining large machines, or 1-year electronics experience preferred.
3. Must be a U.S. Citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident.
4. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work effectively as a team player.
5. Ability to read and understand technical documents such as standard operation procedures and other related documents.
6. Good hand/eye coordination and ability to work with small or large components.
7. Attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
8. Ability to lift, push and pull 10 to 45 pounds.
9. Prolonged periods of sitting or standing.
10. Must have good eyesight, as well as the ability to adjust focus and differentiate between colors.
11. Flexibility to work extra hours when needed, including weekends.
12. Requirements may be expanded to include other duties or responsibilities that management may deem necessary from time to time.Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Set up and run jobs through the wave solder, wash, shave and depaneling processes according to customer requirements.
2. Must read and understand technical documents such as customer blueprints, standard operating procedures, and other related documents.
3. Set up wave solder machines and run jobs until completed, according to customer requirements.
4. Ensuring components are positioned correctly on the circuit board prior to loading into the wave solder machine, while making any necessary adjustments.
5. Identify and recognize solder and component defects at the end of the wave solder machine.
6. Loads and unloads printed circuit boards through the in-line cleaners according to department training guidelines and customer specifications, performing cleanliness testing as required.
7. Keeps boards separate according to assembly, job number and the department from which they were received.
8. Use and understand a caliper for lead length measurements when setting up lead trimming machines according to customer or IPC specifications.
9. Removes loose leads from shaved-printed circuit boards by brushing them off with applied force.
10. Sets up appropriate depaneling equipment and depanels printed circuit boards according to customer requirements.
11. Maintains daily times worked on specific jobs by scanning in/out of computer and/or keeping daily timesheets when requested. Performs other record keeping as required by department.
12. Performs maintenance as required and maintains a clean work area.
13. Uses wave solder machine, carriers, weights, basic hand tools, thermometer, caliper (micrometer), in-line cleaning machine, air hose, metal baskets, lead trimmers, DE paneling equipment, and computers.
14. Contributes to maintaining a safe work environment by following safety policies and procedures, reporting any safety concerns, and participating in any scheduled stretch breaks.
15. Actively participates in quality efforts and support the Virtex Quality Policy through accountable action.
16. Responsible for compliance to the Virtex Quality Management System and other regulatory and statutory requirements as required by the customer.
17. Acts as an authorized agent to stop production when nonconformances are noted.
18. Accountable for accepting responsibility for continuous on the job training by actively participating in training put on by designated Virtex employees and/or any outside service.Discover Award Staffing:
