- Active Bar Admission in Florida, in good standing.
- 4+ years of substantive experience in trusts and estates law.
- Higher levels of experience are also valued and will be considered.
- Significant experience drafting estate planning documents, including wills, trust agreements, and related instruments.
- Experience advising clients on complex wealth transfer tax strategies, trust structures, and business succession planning.
- Proficiency in preparing and reviewing federal estate, gift, and fiduciary income tax returns.
- Ability to counsel fiduciaries in estate and trust administration and support litigation matters related to wills, trusts, and fiduciary issues.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to build client relationships.
- Ability to take initiative while thriving in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
- Proven attention to detail and ability to manage deadlines effectively.
- Strong analytical, research, and writing skills, with the ability to produce concise, high-quality work product.
- Draft a broad range of estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, and related instruments.
- Advise individuals and families on trust structures, tax strategies, and wealth preservation planning.
- Design and implement business succession strategies for closely held businesses.
- Counsel fiduciaries on estate and trust administration matters.
- Prepare and review federal estate, gift, and fiduciary income tax returns.
- Support the firm’s litigation team on fiduciary and estate-related disputes.
- Conduct legal research and draft memoranda on complex estate, trust, and tax matters.
- Maintain direct and frequent contact with clients to provide strategic guidance.
