Fast forward to today, that dedication to quality and understanding of players’ needs has turned Marucci into an All-American success story, the number one bat preferred by players and The Official Bat of Major League Baseball (MLB).Position Summary:Marucci Sports is looking for an Assistant Controller to handle all aspects of month-end close, reconciliations, account analysis and financial reporting with their team. This job requires strong initiative follow-up skills and ability to communicate with all levels of organization members are necessary skills.Position Responsibilities:
  • Manage month-end financial close process, including analysis, reconciliations, and accruals.
  • Ensure accurate and timely preparation of closing journal entries to allow Controller to prepare consolidated financial statements
  • Assist in coordination with internal and external audit process.
  • Assist in daily accounting functions.
  • Assists with ERP development, testing and maintenance.
  • Support CFO and Controller as needed.
  • Support other departmental financial needs.
  • Assist with the management of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and sales tax.
  • Performs other duties as requested, directed or assigned.
Specific Knowledge, Skills or Abilities Required:
  • Strong attention to detail, ability to manage multiple projects and consistently meet deadlines.
  • Exceptional analytical skills, ability to interpret data, solve problems and recommend solutions.
  • Excellent internal and external customer service focus with an ability to self-manage.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Excel required.
  • Verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
  • Experience with ERP system (Microsoft Navision/BC14 a plus) preferred.
  • Experience with SEC reporting and SOX compliance.
Position Qualifications:Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field required.
  • Certified Public Accountant actively licensed strongly preferred.
Experience:
  • 3+ years full cycle accounting skills with heavy emphasis on general ledger reconciliations, financial analysis/reporting.
  • 3+ years Big 4 or large regional public accounting or mid to large corporate accounting.
