We are looking for a Bookkeeper who will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records. This individual will play a crucial role in managing the day-to-day financial operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, and providing accurate and timely financial reports to the management team. This is a full-time, individual contributor role that offers competitive salary and benefits package. The Bookkeeper will receive a salary of $16 to $19 per hour, paid biweekly. In addition, the successful candidate will be eligible for benefits including, paid time off.Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain accurate financial records including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations
- Process and record invoices, expense reports, and payments
- Prepare and process payroll, including tax withholding and deductions
- Prepare accurate and timely financial reports and statements
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements and local, state, and federal laws
- Communicate effectively with other departments to address accounting and finance related queries
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes
- Identify and implement process improvement measures to increase efficiency and accuracy in financial operations
- Other duties as assigned by the management teamRequirements:- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- At least 2 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
