
Junior Geotechnical Resident Engineer

- Assist in overseeing geotechnical site investigations, data collection, and interpretation of geotechnical parameters.
- Support daily inspections of tunnel and rail alignment works, including excavation, shoring, dewatering, and slope stability.
- Monitor contractor activities to ensure compliance with project specifications, drawings, and safety standards.
- Coordinate with design consultants and contractors to resolve geotechnical issues in real time.
- Review method statements and construction procedures related to geotechnical activities.
- Interpret geotechnical instrumentation data (e.g., piezometers, inclinometers, settlement markers) and report anomalies.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly geotechnical progress and compliance reports.
- Participate in technical meetings, risk assessments, and quality inspections.
- Assist with documentation and verification of as-built geotechnical conditions.
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related field
- 1-3 years of relevant experience in geotechnical engineering, preferably in infrastructure or tunnel projects.
- Knowledge of soil mechanics, foundation engineering, and ground behavior in urban construction environments.
- Familiarity with tunnel construction techniques such as TBM, NATM, cut-and-cover, or mined tunnels is preferred.
- Experience with geotechnical software is an advantage.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Strong communication, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
