Job DescriptionNordstrom is looking for talented interns who will carry the business vision of marketing across one of two of our Marketing verticals: Brand Marketing and Public Relations/Corporate Communications. As part of the intern class, you will be given the opportunity to both learn and make an impact from the start. You will develop your business knowledge with direct and adjacent exposure to customer engagement, digital marketing, data analytics, loyalty retention or brand marketing, including communications, events, and social impact.Internship Opportunities:Brand Marketing: Work on Marketing campaigns, including email and content management.Public Relations/Corporate Communications: Support the corporate affairs team during the 2026 Anniversary Sale season with internal communications initiatives to support our employees, and external communications and events to reach a media and consumer audience.A day in the life...Marketing Interns will step into a fast-paced team environment, supporting leaders and teams on core projects that align with business and company strategies. In this role you will have the opportunity to see your contributions impact team outputs, as well as drive projects with autonomy. You can also expect regular communication with, and mentorship from your team and leaders. Responsibilities and experiences will be unique to the team you are supporting and may include, but are not limited to:Understanding the overall vision of the team, including the brand, customer, product objectives, and all other aspects of our programs to provide leaders with impactful recommendationsWorking closely with team leaders and assist in the development and execution of marketing strategies for a wide variety of projectsCollaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to analyze and generate inputs for marketing business plansDevelop tools and methods for driving data to determine strategic business solutionsHelp identify and present trends and opportunities to support management actionsMaintain strong relationships with business partners and external partnersDrive ad hoc reporting, projects, and analysisYou own this if you…Are currently enrolled in a marketing degree program with an anticipated graduation date of Winter 2026 or Spring 2027, or have graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing within the last 12 months.Can relocate to Seattle for the duration of the 10-week summer internship and willing to relocate to Seattle if offered full time employment following graduationHave familiarity with the Nordstrom brand and service offerings and a passion for customer experience and marketing strategy; Translating understanding of the customer into strategies and action plansAre well versed and interested in industry trends, creative and able to effectively multi-task in a deadline-guided atmosphereCan manage information from different stakeholders and synthesize learnings into actionable process or projectsDemonstrate ability to engage with business leaders, cross functional teams and peers through effective written and verbal communication, as well as strong interpersonal skillsAre adaptive and flexible to new situations and/or changing demands, and both anticipate and responds proactively to enhance the division’s/business unit’s financial performanceHave a high level of ownership, professionalism, accountability, and initiativeMarketing core-curriculum course-work experience a plusHave clear and effective written and verbal communication and strong interpersonal skills.Have a passion for consuming pop-culture and current events, with a fluent understanding of the media and social media landscapes.Skilled in MS Office Suite, including Outlook, PowerPoint, and ExcelWhat’s next?
