Repairs and refinishes damaged body parts and bodies of vehicles in accordance with factory and
dealership specifications and time standards.Primary Responsibilities
- Repairs and refinishes vehicles per estimate and according to manufacturer standards.
- Checks parts against estimate and ensures proper parts are ordered and received.
- Prepares vehicles for body repair work.
- Notifies management of any additional repairs or parts needed.
- Notifies management of any difficulties or problems that may prevent a quality job from being
- Maintains and wears all required safety and health personal protective equipment, including respirator,
- Reports any deviations to management.
- Cooperates and assists other personnel in the repair and prepping of vehicles.
- Understands, keeps abreast of, and complies with federal, state, and local regulations that affect body
- Use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for your position and the job duty at-hand, and promptly notify your supervisor should appropriate PPE be unavailable.
- Report to management any situation, interaction, or condition that jeopardizes the safety, welfare, or integrity of the Company, its personnel, or customers.
- Complete all environmental, health, and safety trainings required by the Company through regularly accessing the appropriate software (KPA, Compli).
- Adhere to all Company and manufacturer policies and programs governing environmental, health, and safety practices.
- Technical or trade school degree required or minimum two years of automotive collision repair
- I-CAR certifications preferred. I-CAR certifications preferred are as follows: Aluminum Repair,
- Replacement and Welding; Collision Repair 2000; Electronics for Collision Repair; Finish Matching; Glass
- Replacement; Steering and Suspension; and Understanding Collision Repair.
- Must be able to work on and repair multiple makes of vehicles.
- Must have the ability to operate a wide variety of vehicles, both automatic and manual transmissions.
- Must have manual dexterity, good judgment and ability to operate power and hand tools and other
- Valid driver’s license required for essential job functions and occasional travel for relevant training courses.
