Announcement InformationJob SummaryThis job is a hybrid of teaching assistant and research assistant for 2d and 4d studio art.ResponsibilitiesAs a TA (5 hours per week) the student would be helping to build and light set ups for the studio art classroom, researching and collecting images, experimenting with new techniques and materials, price comparisons, repurposing materials for classroom use, taking pictures and maintaining a website of student work for all three classes.As an RA (5 hours per week) the student would be working with Assistant Professor Laura Truitt on current research - processing photographs and video which would include using Adobe Creative Cloud, stretching canvas, mixing and working with oil paint, preparing paper, framing works on paper, helping to process VR, Lidar and other 3d imaging files. QualificationsThe assistant cannot be a student in Professor Truitt's classes in which they will be serving as TA; guidelines prohibit a student from both be paid and receiving credit for the work they are doing.
