Reports to: Production Supervisor/ManagerSUMMARY
Handling raw materials in the plant by loading/unloading in trucks, preparing materials for Production, as well as the Shipping/Receiving Department.ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ability to load/unload trucks delivering materials.
- Receive materials into the computer system, print and apply all required labels.
- Locate materials and supplies by creating bar code labels and scanning them into their appropriate location(s).
- Ability to pick and palletize materials from a list, for production.
- Ability to pick and palletize materials from a list, for the Shipping Dept.
- Maintain material handling equipment by completing pre-use inspections.
- Attend regular GMP & Safety trainings, and successfully show subject matter retention
- Contribute to a team effort bringing improvement ideas regarding Time Management, Process Improvement, Safety Management, and Inventory Control.
- Label packaging and palletizing of material.
- Master SSOPs necessary for cleaning and sanitizing the production equipment.
- Thoroughly clean work area and utensils in a manner consistent with inspection criteria.
- Prepare equipment by setting controls weigh and load raw materials into the mixers.
- Produces product by mixing raw materials; monitoring and adjusting the mixing process.
- Master the necessary procedures to submit samples to QC or independent verifiers of quality.
- Maintain operations by following policies and procedures; reporting needed changes.
- Ability to measure, weigh, make, and test soap and sanitizer solutions.
- Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Follow safety guidelines and manufacturing instructions.
- Have the flexibility to work in either location and/or either shift with little notice.
- Assist shipping department loading and unloading trucks.
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in other departments as needed.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge base by sponsoring or attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, and establishing personal networks.

Two to Three years of Material Handling, is preferredLANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to:
- Read, write, comprehend written, electronic, spoken instructions, memos, correspondence, communicate verbally by phone and electronically in a professional manner in English.
- Effectively present information in one-on-one, large and small group situations.
Ability to:
- Compute in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Perform mathematical operations using various units of weight and volume.
Ability to:

Working knowledge of:

- The employee must be able to operate a keyboard, calculator and telephone.
- Ability to accurately measure small quantities (as low as 1/1000th of a gram.)
- Job often requires lifting up to 50 pounds of product.
- Regular attendance is required with few unscheduled absences.
- Mandatory overtime is sometimes necessary.
- The work location is a manufacturing plant.
- Some dust may be present, smells may, at times, be unpleasant.
- Safety equipment is mandatory for several processes.
