Deadline: Open until filledGENERAL PURPOSEResponsible for providing administrative support to the Mary Lubko Center Manager and exceptional customer service to guests.REQUIRED EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIESMinimum of a high school diploma or GED equivalent with at least two years of office experience in a similar field preferred. Must have experience with Microsoft Office and possess an aptitude for learning additional software applications. Experience working with senior adults preferred. Must have great problem solving, analytical, organizational, interpersonal; and written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to multi-task and work calmly and effectively under pressure.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS1. Coordinate and implement building rentals.
2. Responsible for all phases of Rec Trac Software.
3. Perform cash balancing duties accurately and in a timely manner.
4. Maintain Mary Lubko Center membership database.
5. Prepare and/or proofread marketing materials.
6. Provide training and assistance to front desk staff as needed.
7. Purchase, maintain, and inventory supplies and equipment as needed.
8. Assist with the preparation, planning, and execution of programs and events.
9. Effectively communicate office updates using OneNote.
10. Provide a high quality of customer service in a professional manner to the internal customer that will facilitate team building and exceptional customer service to the external customer.
11. Follow the Wheaton Park District policies, procedures, and guidelines.
12. Proactively support the V.A.L.U.E.S. (integrity, fun, commitment, adaptability and growth, kindness, and service) on a daily basis.
13. Strive for continuous improvement of systems and self.
14. Maintain good safety awareness and follow all safety guidelines and procedures.REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, ETC.Must have and maintain: valid driver's license with acceptable driving record; and CPR/AED certified or obtain within six (6) months of employment.PHYSICAL DEMANDSMust have the ability to: frequently use a keyboard and computer, remain in a stationary position for long periods of time; and occasionally move about the office to access office equipment and files and move items such as supplies, tables, charirs, etc. weighting up to 25 lbs.ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDSMust be able to: work in a standard office setting.HOURS8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. (Monday - Friday)SALARY$16.00 - $18.00 per hourSALARY RANGEMinimum - Midpoint - Maximum$15.00 - $18.75 - $22.50The Wheaton Park District is an equal opportunity employer.
