- Work closely with Program Director in overseeing the day-to-day operation of the prevention program.
- Handle case-related crises with professionalism, urgency, and care, including incidents involving reports to the State Central Registry.
- Represent program needs, concerns, and perspective at all required ACS and GSS meetings and trainings.
- Collaborate with Family Services Unit (FSU) staff, Family Court Legal Services (FCLS) staff and other service providers in making safety decisions and ensuring appropriate services.
- Actively collaborate to connect participants to other GSS programs and services as needed and appropriate.
- Respond to internal and external requests for data and case information.
- Accompany workers during home visits, safety conferences, Court hearings, and counseling sessions as needed.
- Recruit, hire, onboard, and supervise varied levels of staff to ensure high-quality performance in all areas including counseling, case management, and accurate and timely documentation.
- Coordinate intake assessment and case assignment process, including participating in ACS-Child Safety Conference to engage families for intensive services.
- Facilitate case consultation and offer support and guidance to ensure staff are adhering to the tenets of SBC.
- Implement and integrate the principles and procedures of Solution Based Casework: assessment, family and individual level outcomes, action plans and documentation and celebration.
- Participate in Clinical Diagnostic Team Meetings (CDTs) and provide clinical recommendations which meet best case practice standards as well as contractual requirements.
- Integrate the practices of SBC into every supervisory session.
- Participate in continued SBC training, coaching and the SBC certification process.
- Complete monthly supervisory case review notes for each case supervised.
- Conduct annual performance evaluation reviews of direct reports and evaluate workers' training needs, providing individualized assistance and referrals for training.
- Ensure that adequate safety and risk assessments are conducted for all children and families.
- Monitor, review and approve assigned workers' cases for day-to-day documentation, including progress notes, FASPs, Court reports, other assessments, and statistical records.
- Maintain oversight for meeting contractual obligations and mandates, especially performance-based targets, program utilization, and casework contacts.
- Master's in Social Work Required or Masters in Related Field Required.
- NYS Licensure is preferred LMSW; LMHC; LCAT
- Three years of related supervisory experienced Required. Child Welfare Setting is preferred
- Bilingual - English/Spanish preferred
- Must have strong organizational, administrative, interpersonal, and clinical skills
- Must be able to work at least two evenings per week in order to provide supervisory support
- Must have strong inquiry skills and ability to seek and share internal and external best practices in order to achieve program excellence
- Must have a commitment to work from a strength based, trauma- informed & youth and family development perspective
- SBC Certified as a Supervisor or Worker a plus
