NEEDED: X-Ray TECHLOCATION: 1030 Jefferson Ave, Memphis TN, 38104HOURS: Shifts will vary. Call is required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

U.S. Citizen
Bachelor's or associate degree in radiologic technology, radiology, or a specialized training.
Certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) preferred
Proven experience working as an X-ray technician.
Ability to move or lift patients.
Ability to stand for extended periods.
BLS: Must maintain BLS certification

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Performs radiographic examinations of the skull torso and extremities for routine physical examinations.
Has the knowledge of anatomy and physiology, and cross-sectional anatomy, recognizes unusual images, and determining proper positioning to best demonstrate areas of interest
Performs radiographic exams at the bedside and in the operating rooms providing diagnostic x-rays to the surgeons and professional staff on patients that are unable to be x-rayed in the Radiology Service due to incapacity or surgical procedures, using portable x-ray units and mobile fluoroscopic units to achieve these exams.
Upon request, operates the fluoroscopic unit in the cyst suite.
Requires knowledge of image acquisition in Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS).
