- U.S. Citizen
- Bachelor's or associate degree in radiologic technology, radiology, or a specialized training.
- Certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) preferred
- Proven experience working as an X-ray technician.
- Ability to move or lift patients.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- BLS: Must maintain BLS certification
- Performs radiographic examinations of the skull torso and extremities for routine physical examinations.
- Has the knowledge of anatomy and physiology, and cross-sectional anatomy, recognizes unusual images, and determining proper positioning to best demonstrate areas of interest
- Performs radiographic exams at the bedside and in the operating rooms providing diagnostic x-rays to the surgeons and professional staff on patients that are unable to be x-rayed in the Radiology Service due to incapacity or surgical procedures, using portable x-ray units and mobile fluoroscopic units to achieve these exams.
- Upon request, operates the fluoroscopic unit in the cyst suite.
- Requires knowledge of image acquisition in Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS).
