Southwestern Ambulatory Surgery Center has an immediate need for a per diem PACU RN!Job Summary: The PACU nurse is responsible for implementing all physician orders, providing for the continuity and quality of nursing care for all patients, with continual evaluation of the patients' condition, providing patient safety, comfort, and privacy at all times. Responsible for providing total comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation. Responsible for assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of the patient and family in preparation for discharge.Required Skills
  • Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • Must be a Registered Nurse with an unrestricted license in the state of Pennsylvania.
  • Must have at least 2-5 years of experience in PreOp/PACU or Critical Care.
  • Previous experience in an ambulatory surgical center strongly preferred
  • Must have current BLS, ALS and PALS
  • Must possess a strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of the surgical patient
  • Understanding of aseptic techniques and their implementation
  • Ability to quickly adapt to changing condition of the patient when needed
  • Must be an excellent team player and have the ability to communicate with staff, patients and physicians
