Job Title: Environmental Health and Safety Manager
Job DescriptionWe are seeking a proactive and experienced Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Manager to lead our environmental health and safety operations across multiple facilities. This critical role is essential for maintaining regulatory compliance, reducing incidents, and supporting production in a highly regulated environment. The EHS Manager will oversee hazardous materials programs and manage safety protocols for complex operations. Strong collaboration with maintenance, production, and quality teams is required.Responsibilities
  • Oversee hazardous materials programs, including chlorine gas and molten aluminum operations.
  • Ensure compliance with multiple regulatory agencies such as AQMD, CUPA, and EPA.
  • Manage and maintain documentation for all EHS programs.
  • Coordinate with maintenance and production teams to ensure safety measures.
  • Lead safety meetings and training sessions.
  • Take immediate ownership of existing EHS programs including RMP, CUPA, IIPP, Lockout/Tagout, Confined Space, and Respiratory Protection.
  • Review and update compliance documentation and regulatory reports.
  • Establish safety oversight for chlorine gas systems and molten aluminum handling.
  • Use Excel to track incidents and compliance metrics.
Essential Skills
  • Strong hands-on compliance and technical EHS experience.
  • Deep knowledge of California environmental and safety regulations.
  • Experience managing hazardous materials such as chlorine gas and molten aluminum.
  • Intermediate Excel proficiency.
  • OSHA 30 certification.
  • Ability to validate and implement regulatory measures.
  • Experience in heavy industrial/manufacturing environments.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • HAZWOPER, ASP/CSP certifications (preferred).
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems.
  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience in ISO 9001:2015 environments.
Work EnvironmentThe EHS Manager will spend the majority of their time at the primary site with some responsibilities at another location. This role requires multi-site oversight experience to manage compliance, safety programs, and regulatory requirements across different facilities. The work environment includes exposure to heat, working near furnaces, and handling hazardous materials like chlorine. The company operates 24/7 with continuous furnace activity and a single early morning shift ending by 1–2 PM at the secondary location. Management hours are from 7 AM to 4 PM, Monday to Friday. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required for handling hazardous materials, ensuring significant safety and compliance.Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Fontana, California.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $120000.00/yr.Comprehensive employee benefits include but are not limited to:
