DUTIES: BorgWarner PDS (USA), Inc. seeks a Software Project Manager based out of our headquarters at 3800 Automation Avenue, Auburn Hills, Michigan 48326. Note, this is a hybrid position whereby the employee will work both from home and from the aforementioned office address. Hence, the employee must live within a reasonable commuting distance of the aforementioned office address. Note, this position does not require travel.Coordinate with regional and global teams to put together technical product development plans; Use BorgWarner tools to track and analyze requirements; Review technical specifications from customers and assess effort estimates to develop new products; Provide resource planning and estimations; Develop feature and function plans; Monitor, measure, and report performance at a project level (metrics); Track and plan input/output deliverables from/to other competencies in order to coordinate product releases; Provide customer and project management contact in order to plan topics; Support both internal and external audits; Conduct project level risk management; Lead platform configuration management activities; Support the platform change management process; Negotiate timing and content of deliveries with internal customers, SW suppliers, and project teams; Drive software process adherence and compliance with quality assurance standards; Identify project efficiency improvement opportunities and execute on them.REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Software Engineering, Automotive Engineering or Electronics and Communications Engineering and 60 months of experience in the job offered or related position in embedded software development. Required experience must include: experience using software project management methods and tools; experience working with global automotive development teams; experience using and applying software quality processes (such as ASPICE and CMMI); experience conducting root cause analysis for software development processes in order to drive best practices; three (3) years of experience in embedded software project management.OTHER: Employer: BorgWarner PDS (USA) Inc.
