- Sets up press dies for machine operators and takes responsibility for reviewing the set-ups of the machine operator/set-up team members. Maximizes efficiency of the process to maintain production and quality standards.
- Serves as the back-up to the supervisor and ensures production schedules are maintained; assigns duties to operators during the shift.
- Repairs and maintains dies and tooling, ensuring quality production meets customer requirements.
- Works with supervisor in decisions on replacing or adding dies to ensure production schedules can be maintained.
- Prioritizes the press area to ensure the integrity of the schedules are followed.
- Monitors the training of all personnel in the press area.
- Performs production duties of subordinates within the area to ensure production schedules are met.
- Ensures that a neat, orderly work area is maintained. Ensures tools and supplies are correctly maintained, stored and organized. Assists in general shop housekeeping.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 4 or more years of experience in an extrusion or fabrication environment.
- Ability to problem solve
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints
- A desire to work in a fast-paced, hands-on manufacturing environment

- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
- Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
- Must be able to pass pre-employment physical and drug screen
- Must be eligible to work in the United States, visa sponsorships are not available
- Must have regular attendance

- The employee is occasionally required to sit and use hands.
- The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

- The employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; fumes or airborne particles and extreme heat.
