Job Summary: The maintenance technician is responsible for the overall maintenance and upkeep of vacation rental properties to ensure a positive experience for guests. This role involves performing routine maintenance tasks, addressing guest requests promptly, and troubleshooting and resolving maintenance issues as they arise.Responsibilities: * Conduct routine inspections of vacation rental properties to identify maintenance needs and ensure compliance with safety and cleanliness standards.
  • Perform preventive maintenance tasks such as HVAC system inspections, appliance checks, and plumbing and electrical maintenance to prevent issues before they arise.
  • Respond promptly to guest requests and maintenance issues reported through the property management system or by direct communication.
  • Troubleshoot and repair maintenance issues such as appliance malfunctions, plumbing leaks, electrical problems, and HVAC issues.
  • Coordinate with vendors and contractors for specialized maintenance tasks that require professional expertise, such as major repairs or renovations.
  • Maintain an inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment, and ensure that necessary supplies are stocked and readily available.
  • Ensure that vacation rental properties are clean, well-maintained, and presentable for guest arrivals.
  • Assist with property turnovers between guest stays, including cleaning and restocking supplies as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, inspections, and repairs.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines when performing maintenance tasks to ensure a safe working environment for oneself and others.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to guests, addressing any concerns or issues promptly and professionally.
Qualifications: * High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in maintenance or a related field is a plus.
  • Proven experience in maintenance, preferably in a hospitality or property management setting.
  • Strong knowledge of maintenance principles and techniques, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general repairs.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues efficiently and effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with guests, coworkers, and vendors.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and cleanliness.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed.
  • Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects and perform tasks requiring bending, kneeling, and standing for extended periods.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
