- Perform preventive maintenance tasks such as HVAC system inspections, appliance checks, and plumbing and electrical maintenance to prevent issues before they arise.
- Respond promptly to guest requests and maintenance issues reported through the property management system or by direct communication.
- Troubleshoot and repair maintenance issues such as appliance malfunctions, plumbing leaks, electrical problems, and HVAC issues.
- Coordinate with vendors and contractors for specialized maintenance tasks that require professional expertise, such as major repairs or renovations.
- Maintain an inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment, and ensure that necessary supplies are stocked and readily available.
- Ensure that vacation rental properties are clean, well-maintained, and presentable for guest arrivals.
- Assist with property turnovers between guest stays, including cleaning and restocking supplies as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, inspections, and repairs.
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines when performing maintenance tasks to ensure a safe working environment for oneself and others.
- Provide exceptional customer service to guests, addressing any concerns or issues promptly and professionally.
- Proven experience in maintenance, preferably in a hospitality or property management setting.
- Strong knowledge of maintenance principles and techniques, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general repairs.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues efficiently and effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with guests, coworkers, and vendors.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and cleanliness.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects and perform tasks requiring bending, kneeling, and standing for extended periods.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
