Accounting Supervisor
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Helps with month end profit & loss and quarter end reports. Monthly financial statements including making some journal entries and preparing related schedules and maintaining records. Verify numbers and check correctness of general ledger acct. number coding in financial reports. Prepares invoices and bills for customers, prepares payablesÂ’ reports, answer phones, prepare monthly reports, pays bills owed by the company, inputs payable invoices, runs reports, assists with personnel files, prepares new hire orientation, prepares employee hiring papers, and other duties which may be assigned including shrink, liabilities, and expenses.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESResponsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of a particular department that is assigned (i.e. AP/AR/PAYROLL). Responsibilities include interviewing and training employees.

LANGUAGE SKILLSThe employee must be able to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, financial reports, professional journals, legal documents, or governmental regulations. The employee must also have the ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. The employee must have the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and customers.MATHEMATICAL SKILLSThe employee must have the ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.REASONING ABILITYThe employee must be able to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. The employee must also have the ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral diagram, or schedule form.CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
