
Senior Systems Engineer - Wire Harness

- Analyze and maintain device transmittals, electrical loads, and special requirements (e.g., twisted pairs, shielding, resistance, voltage drop).
- Understand logical subsystem connections (e.g., radio, amplifier, speakers).
- Design and evaluate power distribution components (PDC, SJB, BCM) including fuses, relays, and circuit breakers.
- Develop vehicle grounding strategies, including partitioning of clean and dirty grounds.
- Assess vehicle topologies, component layouts, network architecture, and grounding schemes.
- Perform trade-off studies to support design optimization.
- Ensure adherence to project timing and prioritization.
- Validate compliance with system-level specifications and requirements.
- Interpret module I/O requirements and their impact on system design.
- Understand wire harness complexity, circuit coding, and interpretation.
- Conduct benchmarking of systems and architectures.
- Utilize Capital tool logic for schematic development, harness design, and system validation.
- Integrate Capital tool workflows with vehicle architecture and engineering processes to ensure seamless data flow and traceability
Collaborate with peers and customers to define system needs.Design & Documentation (30%)
