Summary of PositionOur service department is seeking someone who can add to the team as a Lincoln Ford Master Technician or Certified Transmission Tech that is responsible for quickly and accurately performing automotive repairs in accordance with Knudtsen and Ford standards, while ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.Responsibilities
  • Service vehicles in a timely manner for routine scheduled maintenance in accordance with dealer and manufacturer recommendations
  • Diagnose and identify necessary repairs
  • Perform approved repairs to manufacturer and customer specifications
  • Ability to communicate with the supervisor on a regular basis about work performed, necessary changes to approved repairs, or any other concerns related to the repair or maintenance of a vehicle
  • Follow checklists to ensure that all critical parts are examined
  • Experience in the use of computerized diagnostic equipment
  • Produce legible and accurate reporting to reflect performed work
  • Participate in paid manufacturer training
  • Maintain a clean working environment on the automotive service floor
  • Follow all safety requirements to comply with company policies, local and federal regulations
  • Explain automotive problems and repairs to Service Advisors and/or clients
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • 3+ years of Service Technician experience preferred
  • Current Ford Senior Master Certification required
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • B Level qualifications including diagnostic, electrical and engine repair
  • Dexterity, requiring a stead hand, excellent hand eye-coordination
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers and company personnel
  • Ability to pass all pre-employment testing including background check and drug screening
  • Basic computer skills required

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.Team Members regularly works 45-50 hours per week. While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles and chemicals. Frequently exposed to risk of electrical shock and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, outside weather conditions and combustibles. Fast paced working environment.
