As a Manager, Defined Benefit Administration, you’ll apply your deep client and industry knowledge to implement and oversee innovative solutions to meet service needs. Working in a team environment, you will guide the operation, process improvements, ensure quality performance, and direct project work. In this critical leadership role, you will supervise your team’s activities to guarantee timely and accurate completion of all client deliverables.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for hiring, on boarding, goal setting, performance reviews and career development
Manage associate performance and work output against quality and efficiency standards. Provide consistent and timely coaching and continuous feedback
Oversee a team responsible for the administration of Defined Benefits plans. Monitor workload / Capacity Management: Manage employees workloads, adjusting to new or changing assignments, processes, people, and priorities as business and client needs dictate
Create a climate that values and rewards contributions, drive, initiative, and achievement of results
Drive process improvements to increase efficiency, quality, client, and plan participant satisfaction
Monitor all service level requirements and implement plans for improvement where needed
Serve as point of contact for escalations
Lead quarterly client service reviews to review performance and upcoming projects
Conduct regular reviews of client financial performance, including monitoring of profitability
Identify and implement out-of-scope revenue opportunities
Align or optimize team resources to support client deliverables

Succeeding as a Manager, Defined Benefit Administration will require the following core qualifications and skills:

10+ years of defined benefit related work experience, including at least 3 years of client management experience
Demonstrated ability to anticipate problems and to plan for such events
Demonstrated ability to understand end-to-end processes and their interdependencies
Track record of consistently executing plans and motivating a team to achieve successful outcomes
Ability to collaborate and build trust with business partners and coworkers
Thorough understanding of operational controls, procedures and products with an eye on risk and quality
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
