Our practice is seeking a Manager-level professional to support a large global banking client on a temporary engagement. This role sits in the 2nd Line of Defense and is responsible for overseeing and validating the remediation of regulatory and risk issues before they transition to Internal Audit for 3rd Line testing. The Manager will serve as a key point of contact for stakeholders, providing leadership, oversight, and challenge throughout the remediation process.Key ResponsibilitiesLead oversight of remediation activities across business and control functions.Review and challenge corrective action plans, ensuring issues are effectively resolved and sustainable.Engage directly with senior client stakeholders to track, report, and escalate issue remediation status.Provide independent validation that issues are audit-ready before closure.Coordinate with Internal Audit and regulatory stakeholders to support 3rd Line testing readiness.Mentor and guide junior team members on issue validation activities.Identify process enhancements to strengthen issue management governance.Qualifications8 plus years of experience in banking, risk management, compliance, or internal audit.Significant 2nd Line of Defense experience in a global financial institution.Strong knowledge of issue management, remediation governance, and regulatory expectations.Demonstrated ability to manage senior stakeholder relationships.Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.Prior consulting or project leadership experience strongly preferred.At RSM, we offer a competitive benefits and compensation package for all our people.
