- Lead and mentor a team of engineers and technicians in delivering industrial automation solutions.
- Develop control system architectures and design standards for PLC, DCS, HMI, and SCADA systems.
- Program controllers using Ladder, Structured Text, Sequential Function Chart, and other languages.
- Integrate standard programming tools such as VBA, .NET, SQL, Power BI, Grafana, and APIs for HMI/SCADA development.
- Design, detail, and implement fiber, wired, and wireless industrial networks using protocols like Ethernet/IP, Profinet, and Modbus.
- Oversee project execution: planning, budgeting, scheduling, and reporting for projects up to $1M.
- Conduct field device troubleshooting, electrical schematic design, and control panel development under NEC standards.
- Secure repeat business by delivering innovative, reliable solutions that exceed customer expectations.
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical/Control, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering, or Computer Science.
- 10+ years of Controls Engineering experience.
- Expertise in PLC platforms (Rockwell Automation, Siemens, Modicon) and HMI/SCADA platforms (ICONICS Genesis64, Wonderware ArchestrA, GE CIMPLICITY, GE iFIX, Rockwell FactoryTalk View).
- Experience with DCS platforms (Emerson DeltaV or similar).
- Strong background in SQL, .NET, Power BI, Grafana, and API integrations.
- Experience in semiconductor, life sciences, building automation, food & beverage, oil & gas, mining, or water/wastewater industries.
- Proven ability to lead teams, mentor junior engineers, and manage projects.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and customer-facing skills.
- Local to Albuquerque or with strong ties to the area.
- AutoCAD experience.
- Industrial networking expertise for larger systems.
- Experience with Rockwell and Cimplicity platforms.
- Office-based with on-site industrial visits.
- Ability to see, hear, speak clearly, and handle hands-on equipment.
- Ability to lift, push, pull, mount/dismount equipment, and drive to project sites.
