This role requires a compassionate educator who can foster a love of learning and help young students grow academically, socially, and in their Catholic faith.Key Responsibilities:Instructional Duties:
Plan and implement developmentally appropriate lessons in all core subjects, including religion, reading, writing, math, science, and social studies.
Incorporate Catholic values, teachings, and traditions into daily instruction and classroom culture. * Create a warm, structured, and engaging learning environment tailored to the needs of first-grade students.Use formative and summative assessments to guide instruction and monitor student progress. Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs and learning styles of all students.Classroom and School Community:
Establish and maintain a positive and respectful classroom culture that supports the dignity of every child.
Communicate regularly and effectively with parents/guardians regarding student progress and classroom updates.
Participate actively in faculty meetings, school events, professional development, and liturgical celebrations. Collaborate with colleagues and school leadership to support student learning and school-wide initiatives.Spiritual Leadership:
Model a strong Catholic faith through daily prayer, participation in Mass, and integration of Gospel values in teaching.
Support students’ faith development through classroom prayer, service opportunities, and religious instruction.Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education or a related field
Practicing Catholic in good standing preferred.
Prior experience in early elementary teaching or Catholic school setting preferred.
