- You will perform CT exams following protocols and in a timely manner, ensuring a high quality of care.
- You will prepare procedure trays with appropriate supplies.
- You will take patient history and retrieve any necessary orders or prior images.
- You will provide patient history, signs, and symptoms appropriate to the exam to the radiologist.
- You will appropriately complete documentation.
- You will coordinate patient flow and check the daily list to ensure all exams are complete.
- You will support ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) principles.
- You will inform patients about procedures and answer questions.
- You will interact and professionally communicate with physicians, patients, and family members.
- You will start IVs for contrast administration.
- You will use the power injector.
- You will contribute to after-hour coverage through on-call shift rotations.
- You will maintain all licenses, certifications, and accreditations required as outlined in job qualifications.
- You will handle daily upkeep of departmental work areas (cleaning, stocking, etc.).
- You will promote customer service initiatives by adhering to the ICARE values.
- You will support and participate in quality (QI) and performance improvement (PI) plans.
- You will comply with quarterly targeted metrics (i.e., Kronos, HealthStream, PACS, etc.).
- You will demonstrate knowledge of human growth and development, assessment, range of treatment, and care of patients appropriate to the ages of patients served.
- You will perform other duties as assigned.
- Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology.
- Current ARRT certification with advanced registry, or registry eligible with advanced CT certification within 1 year of hire or within 6 months of eligibility.
- 1 year post-graduate experience preferred.
- BLS certification required.
