- One-to-One Check In's with students, classroom coverage as needed, leading extracurricular activities like leading Marching Band and attending athletic events.
- Craft, internalize, and implement high-quality, challenging, and engaging lesson plans teaching Music, Marching Band, and or Orchestra- assessing student progress, and organizing concerts and other musical events.
- The instructor will also be responsible for tracking student growth in reading music overtime- re-teaching and follow-up lessons, assessing student progress, and organizing concerts and other musical events.
- Build a classroom culture that empowers students, affirms their identities, and creates a sense of belonging for all students
- Implement the school-wide and classroom management policies and practices
- Create a responsive and inclusive environment for parents and families
- Internalize and prepare lessons focused on music development. Maintain accurate grade book, and track communication with parents.
- Establish and maintain working relationships with students and families based on trust and respect.
- Attend staff meetings, professional development sessions, and team meetings.
- Participate in the daily functions of the school such as morning, lunch, and afternoon supervisory duties.
- Embrace and incorporate feedback in the spirit of constant improvement.
- Meet professional obligations including timeliness and consistency in meeting deadlines.
- Bachelor's Degree Required
- Current Ohio Teaching License or willingness and ability to pursue certification by start date Required
- 1 or more years of lead teaching experience, or degree in the content area you would teach Required
