The establishment of security controls and procedures is essential for the protection of employees, the preservation of assets, and the effective enforcement of rules and regulations.This position is for a Security Control Officer based on the candidate's qualifications as they relate to the skills, experience and responsibility requirements for the position.The Security Control Officer will possess a strong desire to provide excellent customer service solutions and interact with coworkers and clients in a courteous and professional manner.The Security Control Officer will be primarily responsible for general security duties which include, but not limited to lobby operations, visitor management operations, badging, security patrols, camera/site access monitoring, administrative support activities and providing overall support to approximately 100+ employees and customers.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Primary day shift lead for Lobby Operations.Responsible for leading and managing Allied Universal contract to include security guards, training, recruitment, staffing, work schedules and monthly scorecards.Harmonize lobby operations with other AST sites.Administers Visitor Management System; checks in/out visitors, issuing badges and creates badges for new/existing personnel.Administers Everbridge mass-notification system.Provides Daily Activity Reports, Incident Reports and Suspicious Activity ReportsMonitors alarms, access control events, and video surveillance systemRespond to alarms and emergencies.Patrols the facility to inspect access points, essential life safety equipment, temperature controls and building lighting.Open and closes classified spaces.Acts as member of emergency response team during drills, tabletop exercises, and emergency eventsDevelops, prepares, and implements local Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Post Orders, Quick Reaction Checklist (QRCs), Incident Response Plans, Emergency Evacuation Plans and proprietary test plans, utilizing risk management principles.Conducts and/or participates in internal reviews and/or Government inspections.Investigates security infractions/violations and prepares reports specifying the potential for loss or compromise and the associated risk to the program(s)Provides escort for visitors, vendor or contractors, as needed.Provides administrative support for Security organization, site leaders and admins, as needed.Coordinates/assists door-combination lock changesCollaborates with Facilities & Real Estate for maintenance and construction enhancementsCollaborates with local law enforcement on suspicious activities, criminal incidents and educates site personnel on best practices for safety and security.NO RELOCATION ASSISTANCE AVAILABLERequired Experience, Skills, and Education:Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field or in absence of a degree, 6 years of relevant experience.Prior DOD, Contractor Security, Law Enforcement or military serviceExtensive knowledge of visitor management, card access control and camera systemsExcellent administrative and communication skillsAbove average computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint)Willing to travel on company business up to 15% of the time.Must possess a valid Driver’s license.U.S. citizenship is required.The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. DoD TS Clearance government issued security clearance is required.U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.Must be capable of obtaining a US Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
