- Performance or coordination of geotechnical laboratory testing, including classification, compaction, shear,
- Performance or coordination of construction materials testing on concrete specimens, soil specimens, flowable fill, aggregate, masonry, and asphalt
- Coordination and scheduling of laboratory testing assignments
- Performing, and/or coordinating others in, timely calibrations and maintenance of field and laboratory
- Maintaining documentation of equipment maintenance and calibrations for compliance with AASHTO and A2lA
- Frequent use of gINT or Geosystems and field and laboratory information management systems, for recording
● Minimum 3 years combined experience in laboratory geotechnical and construction materials testing
● Familiarity with ASTM and AASHTO test methods specific to geotechnical and construction materials, AASHTO
R18 Quality Management System (or comparable quality management system), Experience with Microsoft
Office (Word and Excel), geotechnical and material testing equipment, and calibration procedures required
● Valid driver’s license, with acceptable driving record.
● Basic Microsoft Office skills.
● Good written and verbal communication skills required
● Able to work independently and as part of a team with a focus on producing high-quality work.Preferred Qualifications:2+ years of supervisory or leadership experience5+ years of direct laboratory experience in construction materials testingPreferred Certifications:ACI Concrete Strength Testing TechnicianTxDOT Certification(s) in applicable testing areasNICET Certification in Construction Materials TestingAggregate Testing Certification Travel Requirements:● This position does not require regular travel as part of its primary responsibilities. However, occasional travel may be required, up to 10%, primarily for occasional off-site meetings, training sessions, or company events. Travel, when necessary, will be communicated in advance and aligned with business needs. Physical Demands & Work Environment:
- Work is primarily conducted in a laboratory environment, with occasional exposure to adjacent operational or
- Prolonged exposure to moderate to loud noise levels from lab equipment, ventilation systems, and
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. of lab equipment, containers, or samples as needed.
- Ability to stand or walk for extended periods while performing experiments or lab procedures.
