- Performs all types of member transactions as needed (teller functions, new accounts, loans, etc.)
- Develops, motivates, hires and disciplines branch personnel. Is a leader with sales and helps the other employees at the branch excel in this area as well.
- Performs performance evaluations and appraisals for all direct reports.
- Ensure that the branch is following all audit and compliance standards. This includes all monthly audits (teller drawer, vault, etc.) and dual control logs (mail, cash transfers, ATM, etc.) are done properly and the records are in order.
- Monitors branch operation results relative to established objectives and insures that appropriate steps are taken to correct unsatisfactory conditions.
- Monitors all branch activities to insure they are in compliance with established credit union policies and procedures.
- Acts as the Branch Manager when the Branch Manager is out of the office.

- High school degree or GED required.
- Two years of banking related experience is required. Experience managing people is a plus.
- A two-year college degree or completion of a specialized course of study at a business or trade school is highly preferred.
- A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required, in addition to normal courtesy and tact. Work involves extensive personal contact with others and/or is usually of a personal or sensitive nature. Work may involve motivating or influencing others. Outside contacts become important and fostering sound relationships with other entities (companies and/or individuals) becomes necessary.
- Courtesy, tact, and diplomacy are essential elements of the job.
- Must have excellent communication skills to explain and sell products to members.
- Understand member’s needs and what services the Credit Union can offer to meet those needs.
- Ability to make people feel comfortable in easy and hard situations.
- Math skills to understand processes and decisions.
