- Extensive experience in OB and High-Risk ultrasound, with a preference for those with Maternal-Fetal Medicine (MFM) expertise
- The ability to perform emergent pediatric ultrasound exams as needed

ResponsibilitiesEssential Functions
- Works closely with Radiologist to perform diagnostic sonographic exams.
- Exercises professional judgment in performance ofservices and maintains a demeanor complimentary to quality care.
- Delivers appropriate care while recognizing patient conditions and ensuring successful completion of procedures.
- Complies with all state and federal regulations applicable to each modality.
- Adheresto Orlando Health mission statements and commitment to excellence standards.
- Assesses the patient’s physical condition and age specific needs.
- Provides instructions that achieve patient cooperation and desiredresults.
- Performs proper patientidentification,acquires patient’s clinical history, and assuresthatthe information is accurately documented.
- Positions patient, equipment, associated devices and manipulatestechnical factorsto achieve high quality imagesfor interpretation.
- Assesses diagnostic images for technical quality, proper annotation, and patient identification, ensuring that all relative anatomy is demonstrated.
- Comprehends and complies with Quality Controlstandards and participates in all Quality Control tasks.
- Administers medical aid as required for any emergency situation.
- Applies appropriate standard precautions and personalprotective equipmentto prevent cross-contaminationof contagious diseases.
- Assists in supervision ofstudent sonographers and training of new sonographers.
- Utilizes all Corporate Radiology computer systems effectively and accurately.
- Ensures safety of all customers.
- Maintainsreasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent withOrlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA and otherfederal,state and localstandards.
- Maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies andprocedures.
- Follows established standards of practice for image processing and interpretation.
- Maintains cleanliness of work area and equipment.
- Maintains well stocked and organized work areas.
- May be required to work at any facility
- Provides patient transport.
- Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS)registered through the American Registry ofDiagnostic Medical Sonographers
- Maintains current BLS/HealthCare Provider certificate.
- Maintains ARDMS physics registry and one ARDMS registry.
