Looking for 2nd shift Mechanical Engineering Technicians (Monday to Friday, 1:30 PM to 10:00 PM)We are seeking a dedicated professional to contribute to routine technical tasks and develop solutions to technical problems within our Brea, CA facility. You will work closely with your immediate supervisor, project leaders, and other professionals to ensure the successful completion of technical assignments.Duties and Responsibilities
  • Gather, maintain, format, compile, and manipulate technical data, including laboratory or material test results and engineering design changes.
  • Produce engineering documents, reports, and drawings such as flow charts, block diagrams, and schematics.
  • Prepare reports and summaries, including quantitative analysis.
  • Provide technical support to engineers on various tasks and assist in equipment scoping and qualifications.
  • Collaborate with the team on general lab functions, including calibration, safety procedures implementation, and routine equipment maintenance.
  • Notify manager or team lead of any factors that may affect project progress.
  • Develop prototype processes and test set-ups, execute designed test protocols, and conduct testing.
  • Document and communicate test results effectively.
  • Handle test samples and chemicals used for conditioning and testing.
RequirementsMinimum Requirement: High school diploma with experience in a lab environment (corporate or school) or technician experience in a regulated environment for a minimum of 6 years. Experience following written procedures and working collaboratively with a team is essential.Preferred Requirement: Bachelor of Science in a technical area and at least 1 year of experience in a laboratory/R&D setting, following written procedures and working collaboratively with a team.Preferred Qualifications and Experience
  • Ability to understand and perform designed test procedures.
  • Effective communication skills for working in a cross-functional group and with the lab team and extended team members.
  • Develop solutions to routine technical problems of limited scope.
  • Proficiency in personal computers.
  • Ability to train lower-level technicians.
