This role encompasses overseeing daily restaurant operations, managing staff, and upholding the quality of service and food to meet the establishment's standards. By facilitating communication between kitchen and dining room staff, the supervisor guarantees efficient order execution and prompt resolution of any issues. Their responsibilities also include inventory management, adherence to health and safety regulations, and contributing to staff training and development. Through effective leadership, the Bistro Supervisor plays a vital role in achieving customer satisfaction and operational excellence, making them an indispensable member of the hospitality team. This industry functions seven (7) days a week, twenty-four (24) hours a dayPhysical responsibilities include exerting physical effort in lifting/transporting at least 50 pounds. Push/pull carts and equipment up to 150 pounds. Endure various physical movements throughout the work areas. Work environment - Kitchen, restaurant, and all areas of the hotel. Job involves working under variable temperature conditions and noise levels, in indoor and outdoor settings. Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for lengthy periods of time.Preferred QualificationsEducation: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED): or Work EquivalentRelated Work Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in the food and beverage industry.Requires Satisfactorily communicate with guests, management and co-workers to their understanding.Good understanding of the English language and communication skills both written and verbal. Computer skills required. Familiarity with Microsoft Office preferred. Experience with hotel systems is preferredSupervisory Experience: Minimum 1-2 years of leadership experience.
