This role serves as the primary on-site representative for projects, managing field teams and ensuring safe, efficient operations. The Thermal Engineer bridges communication between clients and internal teams to maintain high-quality service and customer satisfaction.Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate field technicians and subcontractors
- Assign tasks, lead meetings, and provide performance feedback
- Act as the main site contact for clients, managing expectations and updates
- Conduct burner tunings, audits, and support thermal engineering studies
- Assist in proposals and customer interactions alongside sales managers
- Oversee installation and commissioning per standards and deadlines
- Monitor KPIs, schedules, and adapt plans for continuous improvement
- Promote and enforce safety policies; lead inspections and briefings
- Troubleshoot issues and coordinate escalation with project management
- Maintain accurate records, site reports, and documentation
- Track and report KPIs for transparency and improvement
- 10+ years' experience managing field operations and subcontractors
- Specialization in combustion systems; experience with burners and furnaces
- Background in manufacturing, steel, energy, or high-temp process industries preferred
- Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Office, Teams; scheduling tools (e.g., SAP)
- Knowledge of safety protocols, PPE, and regulatory compliance
- Strong leadership and ability to manage multinational teams
- Skilled in communication, planning, and technical interpretation
- Problem-solving mindset with high attention to detail
- Automation experience is a plus
- Able to travel up to 60%, work near heavy equipment, and use OSHA-compliant PPE
